MOUNT VERNON – Margaret Joann Rust of Mount Vernon passed away Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023, at Ohio Eastern Star Home at the age of 88.
Born Jan. 12, 1935, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Veta (Davies) Clutter. She worked for Therm-O-Disc for 30 years. Devoted to her church, she was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Joann loved traveling all over the United States in her RV. She had a dry sense of humor and much wisdom to offer others.
She is survived by a stepson, James Rust, Jr.; cousin, Kasie Alexander; several special nieces and nephews; and many cherished family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Rust and her second husband, James Rust Sr.; a son, Ricky Lepley; and a sister, Mary Pearl Weirick.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1040 W. Cook Road, Mansfield. A memorial service conducted by Pastor Israel Cavalli will follow at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh-day Adventist Church.
