MOUNT VERNON – The Knox Community Hospital Auxiliary will be offering academic scholarships to high school seniors and college students interested in or pursuing an undergraduate degree in a health care profession. Applications are available from the high school guidance offices of Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown, East Knox, Mount Vernon and the Knox County Career Center, along with the Knox Community Hospital website. Each scholarship award will total $1,000, and the number of scholarships available is not yet determined.
Eligibility requirements are outlined in the application. All applicants must have been Knox County residents for at least 12 months.
Completed applications can be mailed to Knox Community Hospital, 1330 Coshocton Ave., Mount Vernon, OH 43050; Attention: Marketing Department. The application deadline is March 27. Anyone with questions may call Timothy Elder at 740-393-9086.
