CENTERBURG – Carol (Riter) Baker, 90, of Westerville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at Westerwood Healthcare Center.

Carol was born June 21, 1932 in Findlay. She was the youngest child of the late Stanley and Anna (Sampson) Riter. In the 1940s, the Riter family moved to Fredericktown. Carol met and married Raymond Curtis Baker on June 11, 1960. They established their home in Centerburg, where they remained for many years to raise their three girls.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Baker; sister, Doris (Riter) Thomas and brothers, Aldine Riter, Thurman Riter, Bernard Riter and Emerson Riter. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Michael) Calcara of Westerville, Gina (Baker) Mitchell and Beth Baker both of San Antonio, Texas and grandson Jeremiah Mitchell of San Antonio, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at Snyder Funeral Home, DeVore Chapel, 637 N. State Route 61, (at SR 3/36), Sunbury, where the family will be receiving friends from noon until service time. Interment to follow at Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
