Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is accepting applications for Gov. Mike DeWine’s Inclusive Employer Award for employers who meet the criteria for having a workplace inclusive of individuals with disabilities.

Moments after taking the oath of office, DeWine signed Executive Order 2019-03D, which established Ohio as a Disability Inclusion State and a Model Employer of Individuals with Disabilities. The order also established Ohio's Disability Inclusion Program within DAS, which assists state agencies with disability inclusion and talent acquisition initiatives, identifying and eliminating barriers to access, inclusion and employment, increasing knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, enhancing disability awareness and promoting and sharing hiring best practices and inclusion strategies.

Ohio employers and businesses of any size are encouraged to apply and be considered for this award. More information and an application are available at ood.ohio.gov.
