MOUNT VERNON – Gloria Joan Branstool, 90 years old, gained her angel wings on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, peacefully at the home she shared with her son and daughter-in-law in Columbus, Ohio. Gloria was born on Dec. 30, 1931, to Evelyn Magley in Columbus.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn MeHarry (Magley), grandson Shawn Hedinger, former spouses Eugene (Gene) Sutton, Larry Branstool, and long time companion Charles Rowley.

Gloria is survived by a brother Ron MeHarry and a sister Sunny Doup along with loving daughters Early (Thomas) Lohff of Arizona, Pam Sutton (Ronnie Hall) of Mount Vernon, and son Richard (Lisa) Branstool of Columbus; grandchildren Michael Hedinger of Mount Vernon, Bridgette (Nathan) Shamblin of Frazeysburg, Skylar Branstool of Missouri, Brandon Delauder of Columbus, and Michele Mulcahy of Texas. Gloria worked as a nurses' aide at Country Court in Mount Vernon for 32 years where she retired at the age of 77. Her mission in life was to always enrich and improve the lives of others. Her family was her sole focus. She worried over and took care of them sometimes to the exclusion of her own needs. She had a deep love for animals, an avid love for cats and a great sense of humor.
