The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s track and field team competed in the Monday Meet on April 11, hosted by Indiana Tech, and five student-athletes met NAIA “A” standard figures at the competition.
Erich Rhodeback placed third in the 110-meter hurdles with an NAIA “A” Standard time of 14.59 seconds. Kyler Dickey hit the NAIA “A” Standard in shot put with a toss of 16.13 meters. Dickey placed third overall. The 4x800 meter relay of Colin Gaines, Isaac Ramseyer, Alex Jenney and Garrett Gemmaka finished third with a time of 7:58.37. Evan Hodkinson placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.87 and Justis Paul placed seventh out of 22 runners in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:25.88.
MVNU will take a week off before heading down the road to Kenyon College for the Kenyon Invitational on April 23 in Gambier.
