MOUNT VERNON – Sandra Kay (Boucher) Mumaw went home to her heavenly reward on March 10, 2022. Sandra was born in Nutters Fort W.V. July 8, 1946, to Eugene A. and Eva Alice (Scarboro) Boucher.
She graduated from Mount Vernon Senior High in 1964 and married the love of her life, Ronald Mumaw, Nov. 6, 1964.
She was always active in her church life. Teaching children and young people brought her immense joy. Sandy was always involved with raising awareness about mission work being done in the world. Always the champion of the underdog. She helped and loved many people.
She worked as a property manager for Borror Corp. and Cardinal Industry in Columbus Ohio. She managed Ashford Hill apartments in Reynoldsburg and Hearthstone condominiums in Columbus.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald Mumaw; a daughter and son-in-law, Malani (Doug) Wheeler; a granddaughter, Seanna Wheeler; a sister, Dee Coykendall; a sister-in-law, Sondra Mumaw; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Eugene and Jerry.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 17, from 5-7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 303 S. Edgewood Road, Mount Vernon. A Memorial service will be Friday, March 18, at the First Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with one hour of calling prior to the service.
