LOUDONVILLE – It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Ellen Irvin (Pfister), 82, on March 5, 2022, surrounded by her family at Knox Community Hospital, after a most courageous battle with her lungs. She was met with her heavenly Father and taken home to be enfolded with His spirit and His love! Her heart and soul have been satisfied and she is now whole.

She was born on March 25, 1939, to parents Emil and Georgia (Lord) Pfister at Mansfield General Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio.

Our Mom, Ellen, was a woman of faith and love. She will be remembered throughout our lifetime for walking with the LORD. She was a member of Pine Run Church of God in Loudonville.

Ellen worked in many places throughout her lifetime. She will be particularly remembered for being a loving caregiver, especially to both her parents. In her spare time, you would find her reading her father’s bible or a good book, talking on the phone with her children and grandchildren, or watching the cooking channel on TV.

She is survived by her sweet sister Lillian Sellers; her loving and caring daughters Penny (Tim) Newland and Candie (Jon) Sells; her amiable sons James (Melissa) Irvin and Rodney (Mary) Irvin; 10 grandchildren Jamie (Kinney) Colley, Mollie (Kinney) Burchett, Todd Kemp, Holli (Irvin) Gentle, Allison Irvin, Ryan Irvin, Lisa Irvin, Riley Irvin, Krissy (Galion) Ross, and Christopher Sells; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lovely sister and friend Peggy Hancock; her brothers-in-law Mike Hancock and Thomas Sellers.

Ellen’s family will receive friends Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home- Lindsey Chapel, Loudonville, with a funeral service immediately at 12 p.m. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park, Ontario, Ohio.

Snyder Funeral Home- Lindsey Chapel is honored to serve Ellen’s family and encourage you to share a fond memory or message of condolence to them at SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
