MOUNT VERNON – Hattie Mildred “Millie” Stanley Pealer, 94, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Brookdale Mount Vernon.
She was born on July 24, 1927, in Mason City, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Bertha (Stewart) Ingles. Millie was formerly employed at East Knox School District, Sears and First Knox National Bank. She was a member of the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, attended Amity United Methodist Church, and joined Knox Chapter #236 Order of Eastern Star and Beta-Sigma-Phi sorority.
Millie is survived by her daughter Cindy Shurelds; her son Chuck (Lisa) Stanley; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Anna) Hubbell, DJ (Jacqulene) Shurelds, Savannah (Jimmie) Irwin, Justin (Katie) Stanley and Jordan (Terrah) Stanley; five great grandchildren; and her sister Lucille “Corky” Raines.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Stanley; her second husband, Harold Pealer; her grandson Gavin Stanley; her sisters, Jean Cartwright and Sara Mae Burris; and her brothers, John Ingles, Charles Ingles and Robert Ingles.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 10, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. A service will follow, beginning at 1 p.m., with Mr. Roger Marra officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Association.
