MOUNT VERNON – Emma Jean Green, 74, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon. She was born on Sept. 16, 1947, in Mount Vernon to the late George W. and Edna B. (Ridenour) Watson.
Emma Jean retired from AMG Industries in Mount Vernon, where she worked in receiving. She was a member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge in Mount Vernon and attended the Brandon Baptist Church. Emma Jean enjoyed playing euchre and playing games on her phone.
Emma Jean is survived by her sons, Shaun (Shannen) Green, Shane Green and Shannon Green; grandchildren, Destini, Kiana, Kaylee, Casandra, Savanah, Chloe, Elliot, Shalyn and Bren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Betty Harris and Martha Neibling; and her feline companions, Miss Blackie and Callie.
In addition to her parents, Emma Jean was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim, Joe and Tom Watson.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A private graveside service will be held in Brandon Cemetery with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
