Knox Countians eligible for scholarships from the Area Agency on Aging

ONTARIO – Three scholarships for students studying the field of aging are available in 2022 from the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging Inc, according to a press release.

The agency will award one $2,000 scholarship to a student attending a four-year university, one $1,000 scholarship for a student attending a two-year college or technical school, and one $1,000 scholarship for a student attending any type of higher institute of learning or enrolled in an accredited program for certification.

The application process opened Dec. 2 and closes April 1, 2022. Applicants must be a high school graduate and reside in one of the following 9 counties: Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca or Wyandot.

Details about the scholarship program, eligibility requirements and the application were posted on the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging Inc. website Dec. 2.
