MOUNT VERNON – Barbara L. Rummel, 47, of Mount Vernon died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at the Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University in Columbus following an extended illness.

Barbara was born Dec. 25, 1973, in Mount Vernon and had lived her lifetime in the Mount Vernon area.

She was a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the AMVETS in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are her mother Cynthia (Stevens) Rummel; daughters Shelby Cochren and Audrey Butterbaugh; sister Tamara (Raymond DeWitt) Rummel; brothers Kevin Rummel and Phillip Rummel Jr; nephew Kaleb DeWitt; niece Desirae Rummel; uncle Mike Stevens; aunt Vickie Stevens; great uncle Robert Mann. Barbara was preceded in death by her father Phillip Rummel Sr and a son Thomas Cochren.

Friends may call Monday, Nov. 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Dowds Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.

The family will observe a private burial.
