MOUNT VERNON – Gregory A. Cook, 67, of Gambier passed away on Monday morning, Nov. 22, 2021, at his home. He was born on Aug. 5, 1954, in Holland, Mich., to the late Orwin Seamore “OS” and Muriel (Veurink) Cook.
Greg graduated from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in geology. He was an avid reader and enjoyed taking care of the farm, whitewater rafting, camping and being in the great outdoors. Greg cherished his canine and feline companions.
Greg is survived by his wife, Candace (Roesler) Cook; daughters, Tessa L. (Aaron Shoenfelt) Elder of Heath and Tiffany (John Jr.) Gorley of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Shae DeVault, Stevie Betscher and Danielle Keen; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Marty) Cook and their children, Amy and Sara; and Donald (Peggy) Cook and their children, Cynthia and Julia; and his sister, Sandie (Calvin) Van Hemert and their children, Mishel, Mikael, Jordan and Kristin.
In following with Greg’s wish, there will not be any services.
