MOUNT VERNON – Eileen E. Sapp, 74, of Mount Vernon passed away at The Laurels of Mount Vernon on Nov. 21, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 16, 1947, to Thomas and Mary (Smith) Carpenter in Mount Vernon.
Eileen was a former member of the Eagles. She was an excellent baker and cook.
She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Sapp of Mount Vernon and Lisa Rambo; grandchildren Marea Ann Guillermo, Eva Mae Hamilton, Allan Ray Hamilton, all of Mount Vernon, and Amanda-Jo (Kenneth) Human and Angela Rotchford; and great-grandchildren Xavier and Xander Guillermo, Luke Trice, Daymian Sheets, Alice Goheen, Issiac Williams, Ella Lyons, Nora Lyons, Blaine Gaskins, Jeffrey Human and Ava Rotchford.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale Sapp; a daughter, Gail Marie; and sisters Rita Slaughter and Pauline Carpenter.
Calling hours will be Saturday Nov. 27, from 10-11 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home ~ Lasater Chapel. Burial will follow at Mound View Cemetery.
