As the cold Ohio winter approaches, Cosby Heating and Cooling can keep your existing heating units working or install new ones.
Despite supply chain problems nationally lately, Cosby has not experienced difficulty obtaining parts, co-owner Barb Eddy told the Mount Vernon News.
"Our distributor did a good job thinking ahead and he got a good stock," she said. "He actually put in a new warehouse and really stocked up. We've been very fortunate in that aspect."
Cosby has been in business since 1982. Barb Eddy and her husband, Paul, purchased it in 2008.
The company services all types of heating systems, Barb Eddy said.
"We take care of fuel-oil furnaces," she said. "Gas furnaces. Heat pumps. We have a lot geothermal customers. We have propane customers."
The company encourages customers to be on its maintenance plan, which includes two visits a year by a technician to check the heating and air systems.
"We come out and do a very thorough, step-by-step process, going over everything," she said.
The service is provided free for a year with every installation of a new system. After the first year, customers can decide whether to continue the plan.
"It definitely extends the life of the equipment and improves the efficiency of it," she said.
Maintenance plan customers also get discounts on parts if a repair is needed.
"If we have to come out for a repair during a cold snap and everybody is calling, we take care of our maintenance customers first," Barb Eddy said.
Meanwhile, customers can help their systems operate more efficiency by changing filters regularly.
The company serves Mount Vernon and surrounding areas.
"We got up into Mansfield, Lexington, about an hour circle around Mount Vernon, " she said.
There is always a service tech on call for emergencies, she added.
