MOUNT VERNON – Virginia A. Steagall, 88, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away on Oct. 29, 2021, at Tidewell Hospice in Bradenton. Virginia had lived in Mount Vernon, Toledo, Lakeside-Marblehead, Ohio and Longboat Key, Fla., before moving to Bradenton. She was a registered nurse and taught at Owens Technical College for 10 years. After retiring, she taught reiki to over 300 people. She was a member of AAUW, The Christ Child Society of Sarasota and the RN Club of Manatee-Sarasota.
Survived by her husband, Larry; sons Scott of Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Mark (Michell) of North Port, Fla.; and grandson Cole.
A memorial service will be held on Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Longboat Island Chapel on Longboat Key. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
