Candidate Statement:
If elected to a seat on City Council, I will listen to the residents of Mount Vernon and do my best to work for them because that is who I represent. We need people in government who are trustworthy, and I have been someone others trust here in the community at large and here at MVNU. We must be fiscally sound – not spending more than we bring in to the budget. We need to improve infrastructure, need more housing (for planned growth), more high-paying jobs, and we must keep our city residents safe. My wife and I have been married 36 years. I have lived, worked and raised two children in Mount Vernon since I graduated from MVNU in 1985, so I am committed to our community and want to see us prepared for the future in good standing.
