MOUNT VERNON – Stuart C. Baird, 80, of Mount Vernon passed away on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, at Brookdale of Mount Vernon.
He was born on April 15, 1941, in Mansfield and was the son of the late Stuart R. and Erma (Teeters) Baird.
Stuart was a United States Navy veteran and an accomplished engineer.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Ruth Looney of Mount Vernon; and grandchildren, Taylor Looney and Erin Looney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine, in 2006.
Private graveside funeral service will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park.
