CENTERBURG – Stanley Eugene Anderson, 86, of Maryville, Tenn., passed away on Sept. 28, 2021, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1934, in Centerburg to the late Paul and Louise (Olmsted) Anderson.
Stanley was a 1952 Centerburg High School graduate. He was a former employee with PPG in Mount Vernon from 1953-1976 when it closed.
Stanley then moved to Oakridge, Tenn., and worked at Union Carbide where he retired from in 1996.
He was a member of COMVO, Campers of Mount Vernon Ohio, and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Maryville. He enjoyed hiking in the Smokey Mountains National Park.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marjorie Anderson of Maryville; his daughter, Julie (Scott) Zimmerman of Mount Vernon; sister, Marion Elkins of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Boeshart and Karen Porter; along with his first wife, Joyce Soles Anderson
The Snyder Funeral Home-Lasater Chapel assisted the family.
