MOUNT VERNON / GAMBIER – Presented by registered nurse Jacki Mann, founder of Circle of Life, a local organization, an end-of-life education and awareness program will resume with its 2021 series on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 6:30 p.m. via virtual presentation: Death Is Not a Medical Event.

This presentation and discussion will address how and why death has become a medical event to be feared, as opposed to a natural part of life. In addition, discussion will explore ways in which a shift back to experiencing it again as a natural occurrence can begin and how doing so may decrease fear surrounding it.

This online event is free and open to the public. To register and to receive login information, go to www.InThe CircleofLife.org. Brookdale Hospice is the key sponsor of the series.

Mann is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse and end-of-life doula. She has over 30 years of home care and hospice nursing experience and recently published a book, "Attending to the End: A Good Death Guidebook."
