Controlled goose hunt notice: The City of Mount Vernon is accepting applications for participation in a controlled goose hunt at Ariel-Foundation Park.

The hunting date will be: Wednesday, Oct. 27.

The park will be closed to the public during hunting hours, which begin 30 minutes before sunrise and last until 1 p.m.

Applications are available at the City of Mount Vernon Parks Department Office located at 1700 Old Delaware Road Mount Vernon, OH 43050 between 8am and 4pm. We will only be accepting the first 16 applications.
