Centerburg emerges at head of pack in KMAC boys golf tournament; Fredericktown's Will Streby takes top scorer title

At the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference (KMAC) boys golf tournament in Waldo, Centerburg breezed past five competitors with an overall total of 315, carried by top scorers Dalton Hall and Bennett Hill, who both tied for second at 76. 

Ian Muka of Fredericktown and Grant Bentley of Mt. Gilead tied with Hill and Hall for the second-best scoring positions with scores of 76. 

Centerburg dominated the Top 10 rankings, holding the most spots out of all schools attending; after Hall and Hill came Levi Houck in sixth with 77 and Dallas Cornett tied in the 10th slot at 86. 

Will Streby of Fredericktown led the pack in individual scoring, coming in at a cool 73; Fredericktown staked the second-place position at 331 overall. 

Northmor was neck-and-neck with East Knox for the third ranking in overall team score but fell shy with a score of 359 against East Knox's 352. East Knox leveraged two top scorers onto the board: Ashton Priest at 81 and Dylan Reed on the cusp of the Top 10 list with 86.

Northmor's lone Top 10 scorer, Ethan Branch, shot an 85 at the Waldo meet. 

Mt. Gilead fell into the second-to-last team score rank with an overall of 427 but saw golfer Steven Street onto the Top 10 board with a score of 77. 

Cardington nipped at the pack's heels with a group total of 500.
