MOUNT VERNON – Wayne E. Beach, 94, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at his home. He was born on Sept. 1, 1926, in Mansfield, the son of Wayne and Mary (Farquhar) Beach. Wayne retired from Lamb Glass in Mount Vernon. He was an avid collector of many things, enjoyed tinkering in his yard and always liked a good cup of coffee with great conversations with his friends and family.
He is survived by his son Thomas (Deborah) Beach of Fredericktown; a stepson, Daniel (Kathy) Wolford of Council Bluff, Iowa; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Lafferty of Mount Vernon; and good friend Cynthia Robinson.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Beach (2017); a son, Wayne Beach Jr.; stepdaughter, Denise Spurgeon; and a brother, Donald Beach.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Aug. 9, beginning at 11 a.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Wayne E. Beach.
