MOUNT VERNON – Belva F. Cline, 85, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday afternoon, July 19, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on Nov. 30, 1935, in Cardington to the late Thomas and Helen (Reed) Nelson.

Belva enjoyed working for many years in the medical field as an office manager in physician offices and helping people with their insurance problems. She loved going to drag races with her son, Derek, traveling wherever they could go. She also loved traveling to the beach with her daughter, Janet. Belva enjoyed races of all kinds with her husband and son. She liked getting together with friends and family whenever possible. Belva’s proudest moments of her life was seeing all her children graduating from college and going on to have good jobs and she watched them one by one retire.

Belva is survived by her daughters, Janet (Keith) Morrow of Lincoln, NC, Jane White of Gainesville, GA, and Jennifer (Jeff) Doup of Mount Vernon; sons, William K. Theibert of Wooster and Derek S. (Andrea Bensman Franz) Cline of Titusville, FL; stepsons, Paul L. (Joan) Cline of Mount Vernon and  Earl E. Cline Jr. of Mount Vernon; five grandsons; one granddaughter; one stepgrandson and one step granddaughter; six great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren; and Kenneth C. Franz, who was like a  grandson to Belva.

In addition to her parents, Belva was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Earl Eugene Cline Sr., on Aug. 7, 2016.

In following with Belva’s wish, there will not be any services.
