MOUNT VERNON – Lora Keys, 82, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Country Court Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1938, to the late Jonathan C. and Opal M.Jacobs.
Lora retired from Peoples Bank in Gambier after 29 years of service.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Ned) Shafer, Tammy (Steve) Hall, Debbie (Bill) Cole and Kathy Keys; a sister, Anna Belle Myers; grandchildren, Jason (Beth) Fawcett, Alan Troy, Sam Cole and step-grandson, Todd (Kelly) Cole; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Lora was preceded in death by her husband, David Keys, in 2009; brothers, Charles and James Jacobs; and sisters, Elizabeth Woodruff, Louise Kaurich, Celia Joseph, Linda Kunkel and Lola Hershner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, at 2 p.m. at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery.
