FREDERICKTOWN – Rebecca Miller, 86, of Fredericktown, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Jan. 24, 1935, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel and Barbara (Helmuth) Yoder.
Rebecca was an active member of the Overcomers Christian Church in Mount Vernon, where she served as a member of the Board of Elders. She was also the founder and director of the women’s ministry “Daughters of the King.”
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Kevin) Cunningham of Fort Worth, Texas, Yvonne (Jim) Miller of Fredericktown, Bryan (Alicia) Miller of Toccoa, Georgia, Pamela (Paul) Butler of Dallas and Dwight (Denise) Miller of Columbus; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Levi (Colleen) Yoder of Greely, Colorado, Alfred (Linda) Yoder of Phoenix and Paul (Edith) Yoder of Hutchinson, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Lester J. Miller; a great-great-grandchild, Elizabeth Miller; a brother, Vernon Yoder; and three sisters, Bertha Helmuth, Mary Nisly and Fannie Nisly.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Overcomers Christian Church, 998 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050; where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Pastor Troy Dugan will be officiating. The family will observe a private burial in Forest Cemetery. This service will be livestreamed at the Snyder Funeral Home of Fredericktown Facebook page.
