FREDERICKTOWN – Kenneth Redmond, 61, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2021, at his home in Shawnee, Kansas. He was born on Sept. 1, 1959, in Lima, Ohio, to James and Helen Redmond.
Ken graduated in 1977 from Fredericktown High School, where he enjoyed playing football and pole vaulting — and held the record.
Ken worked for United Telephone Company of Ohio until he transferred to the Kansas City area with Sprint, where he retired. He also worked for Ericsson.
He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan who bled scarlet and gray.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; and children, Nickol Salva (Jerako), Tim Redmond (Samantha), Danielle Furnis (Shane), Lindsay Marcy (Stephen) and Tyler Powell (Natalie). He also had several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen.
