FREDERICKTOWN – Michael “Doug” Mason was asked to join his Creator on May 1, 2021.
Doug was a wonderful, kind and loving husband, brother, father and grandfather. He would never say “no” to anyone needing help. His passions were fast cars and music.
Doug was born in Mount Vernon to the late James and Shirley (Bemiller) Mason on Aug. 20, 1955. He resided in Fredericktown for most of his life. He was a third-generation sprinkler fitter for more than 45 years and eventually retired from this profession.
Doug is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Clarke) Mason; son, Trent Mason (Elizabeth); daughter, Courtney (Mason) Farley (Bill); stepdaughter, Regan Goble (Greg); stepson, Adam Goble (Karen); sisters, Kimberlee (Paul) Peppers and Janet Mason (Norm); brother, Scott Mason; eight grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.
The family will receive friends from 3–5 p.m. on Monday, May 10, at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 E. College St. in Fredericktown. A private graveside service will be held in Union Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Doug’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
