FREDERICKTOWN – Edgar “Humpy” Campbell, 81, of Fredericktown, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on Sept. 12, 1939, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the son of Edgar and Victoria (Michaux) Campbell.
Mick proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Jeld-Wen in Mount Vernon.
Mick was an avid fisherman, especially fly fishing. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, and he volunteered many years for the Central Ohio Diabetes Association. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia (Finnell) Campbell; children, Traci (Alan) Cassell, Tiffiny (John) Miller and Robert Michael Campbell; grandchildren, Grant (Lindsey) Cassell, Carter (Shelby) Cassell, Thomas Harrell and Emily Harrell; and a great-grandson, Gavin Springston.
Mick was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will observe a private service at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Mick’s name may be made to the Central Ohio Diabetes Association or the Special Olympics.
