FREDERICKTOWN – Cheryl Swihart Fry, 71, of Fredericktown, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on Jan. 28, 1950, to Donald and Florence Evadine (Ruhl) Swihart in Knox County and has lived here her entire life.
Cheryl was a 1968 graduate of Fredericktown High School and a 1970 graduate of Mid-Ohio Practical Nursing. She worked in various nursing facilities in the area and retired in 2012 from the Rose Garden Nursing Facility with 22 years of service. Cheryl was a member of Batemantown Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Jodi L. Fry, Jenifer (Chuck) Young and Jamie (Patricia) Fry; grandchildren, Samantha Young, McKenzie Burgess, Kelsey Burgess, Christopher Fry and Jaxon Fry; great-grandchildren, Lillian Blue Lewis and Silas Smith Jr.; brothers, David (Carol), Ronnie “Bo” and Thomas Swihart; and sister, Shawna Frary.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ronald Fry in July 2019.
The family will have a private graveside service in Quaker Cemetery near Fredericktown.
