MOUNT VERNON – Patricia Ann Losh, 80, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at the Country Club Rehabilitation Campus in Mount Vernon surrounded by her family. She was born on March 15, 1941, in Columbus to the late Francis and Dorothy (Spaniol) McGarvey.

Pat was a devout member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She retired from the Mount Vernon Police Department in 2003, where she was a dispatcher for many years. Pat was an avid reader; she also enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets and playing cards with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Paul W. Losh Sr., whom she married on Aug. 10, 1963; children, Paul W. Losh Jr. of Mount Vernon, Regina Wolfe of Mount Vernon, John (Christine) Losh of Blacklick and Anthony (Stacia) Losh of Stuart, Florida; grandchildren, Devon Grennell, Linsay Grennell, Macy Wolfe, Reagan Losh and Alexander Losh; great-grandchildren, Olivia Beeman, Owen Granatir, Dylan Granatir and Wyatt Granatir; brother, Francis McGarvey of Columbus; sisters, Joanne (William) Mills of Orlando, Florida, and Linda (Donald) Heffelfinger of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Michael L. Losh on Oct. 29, 2009; and a sister, Carol McGarvey.

The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St. in Mount Vernon. A vigil service will follow the visitation.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Thomas G. Petry as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Mount Vernon. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be observed.
