MOUNT VERNON – On Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, Thelma Steele passed away at the age of 91.
Born in West Virginia to her mother Ada, she relocated to central Ohio after marrying her first husband, Charles Hachat, who preceded her in death.
Thelma was an active member of the Mount Vernon community, where she was known for her kind and compassionate spirit.
After meeting her second husband, Donald Steele, in San Diego, the two said their vows and spent the following twenty-seven years together creating precious memories, including their many road trips.
She leaves behind her son, Brad, as well as his wife, Victoria; their children, Sophia, Joshua, and Jeremy; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her husband, Donald; Donald's son, Ronald, and his wife, Nancy; and his daughter, Jenelle, and Jenelle's partner, Casey.
Thelma was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia.
