MOUNT VERNON – The mission of Place 4 Grace is to educate and minister Christ’s love and grace to unwed pregnant ladies and their children and provide for a variety of their needs.
This local nonprofit ministry is anticipating much growth and continues to seek to provide a secure, stable home environment and eliminate generational cycles of unwed pregnancy, poverty, abuse and addiction.
For four years now, Place 4 Grace has been working hard to open a home that will minister to young women who are single and pregnant. The home was founded by two friends who worked in a local pregnancy care ministry and saw the need for safe, secure housing that goes deeper into the lives of women and babies in need. In March of 2018, the ministry leaders bought a home on 10 acres, and it has been completely remodeled to serve four young women and their babies at a time.
The home can also provide living quarters for live-in house parents and room for weekend parents to stay while filling in for the house parents. The land included with the home offers ample space for farm animals and gardening to teach the young women invaluable skills in providing for their new family.
In 2020, Place 4 Grace received over 20 calls about young ladies needing help, and the need is growing. In order to meet the growing needs of this ministry and reach out to those young mothers in need, Place 4 Grace is looking to hire individuals to fill the following positions:
· House Dad – Volunteer
· House Mom – Full-time staff
· Family assistant – Part-time staff
· Administrative assistant – Full-time staff
· Plan coordinator – Part-time staff
· Weekend parents – Part-time staff
The staff at Place 4 Grace wishes to hire all positions by April 1, train staff and open their doors full time in May. If you feel called to use your skills to help advance this local ministry, go to place4grace.com/employment or call (740) 324-5244 for further information. You can also reach out at info@Place4Grace.com.
The ultimate goal of Place 4 Grace is to treat family members of their home the way Christ would: offering the knowledge of forgiveness, love, hope and, of course, Grace.
