HOWARD – Mitchell L. Briscoe, 69, of Howard, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021. He was born on June 26, 1951, in Mount Vernon, the son of Jessie Briscoe and Nola DeVore Robertson.
Mitchell was a 1969 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and worked many years for the Kenyon Inn. He was an avid fan of all sports and loved to trade banter with others about their favorite teams. He most particularly liked baseball, and he also enjoyed fishing. In years past, Mitchell volunteered as a youth football coach for the Knox County Football League.
He is survived by his mother, Nola Robertson; his brother, Chris (Kelly) Briscoe of Howard; a nephew, Matthew Briscoe; and a niece, Kim Briscoe.
Besides his father, Mitchell was preceded in death by a brother, David Briscoe; and his stepfather, Neil Robertson.
The family will observe a private service.
