MOUNT VERNON – Scott L. Tanner, 56, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at the Country Club Retirement Center. He was born on Dec. 9, 1964, in Mount Vernon to the late William and Joanne (Snow) Tanner.
Scott attended Mount Vernon High School and worked for Marriott Hotel in Columbus as a cook. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and the band AC/DC. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Kate; his sister, Sherry (Mark) Arnold; his brother, Michael Tanner; his Aunt Betty (David) Willits; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Along with his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Tanner; and a nephew, Caleb Clark.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
