UTICA – Annette (Parkinson) Wilkin, 64, was battling cancer and lost her fight on Feb. 13, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on Oct. 16, 1956, in Newark to the late Richard and Charity (Rhodeback) Parkinson.
Annette resided at her farm on Morgan Center Road in Utica. She was a lifelong farmer who loved her family. She also loved to cook and play cards with family and friends. She did numerous crossword- and cryptogram puzzles. She was a dedicated 4-H advisor and mentor to the 4-H youth.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Janine McGuire; son, Roger Shane Wilkin; grandkids, Dylan, Ashton and Cheyenne Linger, Jake Etler, and Roger, Evan and Owen Wilkin; sisters, Pamala Parkinson and Fran (Bruce) Conard; brothers, Daniel (Vicki) Parkinson and Vance Parkinson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Neil Wilkin; and sister, Janine Parkinson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, in Eden Cemetery with Don Allen officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
