UTICA – Clarence R. Conley, 79, of Utica, passed away on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021. He was born on July 4, 1941, to the late Ballard and Alice (Campbell) Conley in Knott County, Kentucky.
Clarence worked for Utica Schools for over 35 years and at Velvet Ice Cream, but he never really stopped teaching. He was a longtime coin collector and a member of Crossway Fellowship Church. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to bluegrass and cheering on his beloved Kentucky Wildcats. More than anything, Clarence loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jan; children, Maria and Thaddeus Conley; step-daughter, Stephanie (Doug) Newsome; grandchildren, Riley and Parker Newsome; siblings, Louise Owens, Claude (Judy), Martin, Wayne (Colleen) and Bill Conley; sister-in-law, Clara Conley; and granddog, Pedora.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Conley; and siblings, Dave and Aileen Conley.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.
