Knox County Board of Commissioners to consider seven resolutions at Feb. 4 meeting

MOUNT VERNON – The Knox County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular session at 10 a.m. On Thursday, Feb. 4, in the Commissioners Conference Room at 117 East High Street, Suite #161 Mount Vernon.

Seven resolutions will be presented:

  • Approve Bennett & Williams proposal for post closure aare at the Knox County Landfill for the first half of calendar year 2021 in the amount of $28,100.00.
  • Approve prisoner housing agreement with Morrow County from Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2021, for a daily amount of $68.00.
  • Approve 2021 bridge inspection engineering agreement with E. P. Ferris & Associates Inc. for 20 bridges for the lump-sum fee of $7,000.00.
  • Authorize Knox County auditor to release permissive auto license fees to the City of Mount Vernon, as recommended by the Knox County engineer, Cameron Keaton.
  • Approve Star Ohio bank statement for General Fund interest earned in January 2021 in the amount of $157.39.
  • Approve Star Ohio bank statement for Program Income Fund interest earned in January 2021 in the amount of $2.24.
  • Approve Star Ohio bank statement for JFS Children Resource Fund interest earned in January 2021 in the amount of $74.23.
After the resolutions, updates from Knox County Job and Family Services and Knox County Public Health will be presented, followed by departmental and public comment periods.

When the session resumes after lunch break, approval of transfer of funds, supplemental appropriations and bills will be considered, followed by a departmental comment period, if requested, before the meeting is adjourned.
