The 3rd Annual Knox Foodies Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival is set to bring sizzling flavors and soulful sounds to historic downtown Mount Vernon on Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This free, family-friendly celebration invites the community to gather for a day filled with barbecue competitions, live blues performances, local brews, and activities for all ages.
Guests will have the chance to sample some of the best barbecue in Central Ohio, with pitmasters competing for top honors. Attendees can cast their votes for their favorite dishes, making the competition interactive and engaging. Alongside the smoky aromas of barbecue, downtown establishments will open their doors to showcase local brews. Organizers anticipate approval for the event to once again be designated as a DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area), allowing visitors to enjoy their beverages while strolling through the festival and taking in the music and food.
The entertainment lineup promises to be a highlight, featuring Central Ohio’s finest blues acts. Performances by The Shaun Booker Dammit Band, John Henry & The Rainmakers, and The Joint Rockers will fill the streets with rhythm and energy, creating the perfect backdrop for a summer afternoon. With a guitar-driven sound and soulful vocals, these bands will keep the crowd moving and set the tone for a lively celebration.
