FREDERICKTOWN – Charles R. “Ron” Cooper, 71, of Fredericktown, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on Jan. 31, 1949, in Pavo, Georgia, the son of Donnie and Audrey (Collins) Cooper.

Ron worked and retired as a CAD Designer for Siemens in Mount Vernon. He attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mount Vernon. He enjoyed reading and watching his favorite shows on the History Channel. Ron was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Mores) Cooper; his children, Karen (Lee) Kilgore of Marietta, Ga., Marie (Alex) George of Brooks, Ga., and Charley David Cooper of the home; four grandchildren, Aaron and Kayleigh Kilgore, and Zoe and Scarlett George; a sister, Katie Meeler of Adel, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Betty Cooper of Tampa, Fla.

Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Cooper; and two sisters, Dorothy Nell Houk and Myrtle Cooper.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon; where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. The Rev. Rachel Harrison will be officiating.

Memorial contributions in Ron’s name may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
