MOUNT VERNON – Mary E. "Betty" Adams, 98, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away on Dec. 3, 2020, in the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born in Belle Vernon on March 20, 1922, daughter of the late Lee and Mary Braun Roberts. 

Catholic by faith, Mary was a member of St. Sebastian Church of Belle Vernon. She graduated from Rostraver High School, where she had been a cheerleader. Mary was also an accomplished pianist. 

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Rousseau of Mount Vernon and Robert (Susan) Rousseau of Speers; grandchildren, Robert, Dennis, Helen, Michelle and Eric; great-grandchildren, Donna, Kenny, Devin and Daniel; nephews, Kerry Roberts, Ray Popp and Hubert (Maxine) Maxwell; lifelong friend, Roy Hixenbaugh; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Rousseau, Frank Maund and Bob Adams; and brothers and sisters, Vernie, Nell, Ida Lee, Colletta, Loretta, Jimmy, Jack, Alvin and Mary Ann.

Private funeral services were entrusted to Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, Pa. Burial was held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township, Pa.
