MOUNT VERNON – Ralph E. Smith, 74, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Mount Vernon Health and Rehab. He was born on Jan. 28, 1946, in Fredericktown, the son of Dale and Lucy (Mendenhall) Smith.
He is survived by his daughter, Leah Smith Lowell of South Carolina; stepdaughter, Heather Green (Brandon) Cummings; two grandchildren, Alexis Smith and Barrett Cummings; companion, Shirley Farley; siblings, the Rev. Don Smith, L. Keith (Wanda) Smith, Ken (Virgie) Smith, David (Dale) Smith, Paul (Marilyn) Smith, Charlotte Hankins, Shirley (Jim) Miller and Carol (Rick) Mayhew.
Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Smith, George Smith, Dale Smith Jr. and Roy Smith; and sisters, Sharma Talbott-Roach and Doris Eileen Smith.
