HOWARD – Mose E. Wengerd, 62, died at 9:34 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, following a massive heart attack. He was born on May 2, 1958 to Eli and Sarah S. Wengerd.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah S. (Barkman) Wengerd of the home; seven children, David (Verna) Wengerd of Danville, Esther (Aden) Miller of Gallipolis, Rachel (Nelson) Miller of Fredericksburg, Lizzie Ann Wengerd of the home, Eli Wengerd of the home, Sovilla (Ervin) Keim of Gambier and Dan Wengerd of the home; six grandchildren; his mother, Susie Wengerd of Howard; and six sisters and seven brothers, Amanda (Reuben) Wickey of Geneva, Ind., Lizzie (David) Wickey of Geneva, Ind., Katie (David) Miller of Fredericksburg, Emma (Jake) Girod of Berne, Ind., Jerry (Miriam) Wengerd of Fredericksburg, Levi (Mary) Wengerd of Fredericksburg, Rachel (Eli) Yoder of Walhonding, Sovilla (Reuben) Byler of Jewett, Reuben (Iva) Wengerd of Cobleskill, Jonas (Anna) Wengerd of Patriot, Daniel (Sarah Ann) Wengerd of Loudonville, William (Martha) Wengerd of Danville and Andy (Rosie) Wengerd of Patriot.
Mose was preceded in death by his father, Eli Wengerd; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sam and Lizzie Ann (Mast) Barkman.

A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Wengerd residence; 26260 Lepley Road, Howard, OH 43028; officiated by Bishop Dan D. Raber. Burial will take place in Troyer Cemetery.
The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
