MOUNT VERNON — Food For The Hungry (FFTH) is proud to present a new partnership to raise funds for our community. The first-ever Battle of the Coffee Shops will take place Nov.16-21 and Dec. 1-9.

During these dates, the community can go into their favorite coffee shop and donate non-perishable food items or give a financial donation to FFTH. Each person who donates $1 or more can put their name into a drawing for a gift card to that coffee shop. Customers can enter the drawing once per day. At the end of the two weeks, the coffee shop with the most donations will win the “FFTH Coffee Shop of the Year” trophy and bragging rights for the year.

The list of coffee shops participating and gift card opportunities is as follows:

Blonde Robin, 505 S. Market St. #1/2., Danville – $50

Brickhouse Grind, 10 S. Main St., Fredericktown – $50

Cotto’s Treats, 504 Harcourt Road, Mount Vernon – $25
