Knox County Career Center Preschool awarded James Patterson and Scholastic Book Clubs Partnership Grant

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Knox County Career Center Preschool has been awarded the James Patterson and Scholastic Book Clubs Partnership Grant for 2020. The 2020 grant program winners were announced earlier this week.

The grant program is administered by bestselling author James Patterson and by Scholastic Book Clubs. The KCCC Preschool was 1 of 5,000 schools nationally that received the grant. The grant will give KCCC Preschool Director Jeremi Jarosz $500 in books from James Patterson and 500 bonus points from Scholastic Book Clubs to grow kids’ love of reading.

“This grant allows us the opportunity for our students to check out grade-level appropriate books to read with their families. This will lead to better literacy skills that will prepare our students for kindergarten and beyond,” Jarosz said.

The Knox County Career Center Preschool is a 5-Star Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) preschool.
