Amato’s Woodfired Pizza, 668 North Sandusky, recently held it’s Meatball Challenge to raise funds for the Mount Vernon Fire Department. A total of $707.20 was raised. The winning meatball was made by Shawn Phillips. From left, MVFD’s Terry Davis and Eric Rutter with Amato’s Erica Grigsby, Fire Chief Chad Christopher, firefighters Nicholas Kidd and Bryan Kramp. The money donated will go towards purchasing specialized equipment.
