FREDERICKTOWN — Katherine “Kathy” Marie Yerkes, 74, of Fredericktown, passed away at her residence Friday, June 28, 2019. She was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. Her parents were John and Betty Jane (Parker) Baldwin.
Kathy was a graduate of Alliance High School. She loved reading and her favorites were true crime novels. Kathy was an animal lover and always had her K-9 and feline companions around. She loved going to the Station Break and being around her friends, but her greatest joy was her family and grandchildren.
Kathy is survived by her children, Michelle Minjarez, Dennis (Jennifer) Gardner, John (Tiffany) Gardner, Scott Gardner; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Colleen Baldwin, Rose Stevenson and Mary Barnum; several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by a son, Michael Gardner; and a grandson.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
