“I do understand that they’ll need more housing. I’m not exactly sure how it will all work...Ideally they would just build more dorms, or you know, not over enroll people.”Audrey Mueller, Los Altos, California
“A lot of people are saying it’s getting to the point where some of the housing structures are kind of in disarray that they should almost maybe knock them down and build new ones...A lot of students complain because there are so many problems with the rooms. The ceiling’s cracking, the windows is leaking. In my dorm, a couple of people have had their rooms flood when it rains. If they’re going to do anything, even before building new dorms they should fix the old ones...Some of the dorms have mold problems. I know a couple of people who have really bad allergies to mold and they had to move rooms.”Rebecca Holzel, Winnemucca, Nevada
“There have definitely been some problems with housing. There needs to be more and better housing in general.”Michelle Hannah, Youngs-town, Ohio
“If I had it my way, I think off-campus housing should be something that’s at least semi attainable here...I think we need a little more architectural diversity. The NCAs (North Campus Apartments) are kind of flimsy. All the buildings in the village have had problems immediately after they were opened and students moved in. It just doesn’t really feel like they’re well built.”George Costanzo, Cleveland, Ohio
“I think just the fact that they over-enrolled made it difficult to get housing. ... It was a very competitive process. ... They might want to fix the north campus apartments before they build new housing.”Zoe Packel, Livingston, New Jersey
“I guess maybe build different complexes if they’re going to over-enroll again, if that ever happens in the future...I think resorting to triples, especially with these small apartments, is not ideal.”Linnea Mumma, South Orange, New Jersey
