Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County

The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County has been awarded a Communities for Immunity grant of $37,852. The Library will use these funds to improve public health by engaging communities in COVID-19 vaccine confidence through education, access, and community conversations. The Library is honored to be one of fifty museums and libraries to receive a grant, and one of only four institutions in the entire country to receive an award of this size. The project will be a collaboration involving the Library, Knox Public Health, Knox Pages, the Ohio Eastern Star Home, New Directions and Knox Community Hospital.

On Saturday, Oct. 16, Beekeeper Sarah from My Bee Supply will present a demo on beekeeping in the Outdoor Annex of the Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County from 10-10:30 a.m. Cider and snacks will be provided, according to a press release.

The Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County will present a virtual visit with the author of the Lunch Lady graphic novels for children.

Knox County Park District Summer Intern Elizabeth Dyke will lead a Storybook Trail Read and Hike adventure Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 8-10 a.m.
