There are lots of kids’ tennis camps out there, but what about adults who are taking up the sport or who want to improve? Offered by the Mount Vernon City Recreation Department, in association with the Kokosing Valley Community Tennis Association, and U.S. Tennis Association, “Tennis 101 for Beginners” is, according to program literature, “a series of five one-hour lessons that focus on teaching adult beginners in a supportive, successful and fun way.” Former Mount Vernon Nazarene Men’s and Women’s head tennis coach Alvin Cheng will be the instructor.
